H22 thermostat help!!
i'll make this short because i need to get some sleep...i went to Honda, Advance auto, and another local car place to get a thermostat for my 1994 Prelude VTEC. None of the thermostats they had matched the one I pulled from the car-they were all smaller and not as beefy feeling as the one that i took out. At honda they looked it up a bunch of different ways and it always came back to the wrong part. Same thing at advance and the other place.
is this part just always listed wrong? is there any chance that the thermostat I pulled wasn't the one the was originally in the car? (the rubber seals are old looking...the whole thing just looks like the age of the car so i dont think it was ever replaced).
what's the deal?

I have one is you need one. It came off my 00 Prelude and still worked perfectly when I took it off. It only has about 30k miles on it. The reason I changed it out was cause I did a motor swap, and just bought all new oil seals, T-belt parts, and thermostat. If you're intersted, just let me know
Kragen or any of the Advance Auto have the wrong part number or something, because I had the same problem a year ago.
I ended up going to the Honda dealer w/ my stock one, and they were able to find the one that worked for me.

can somebody please give me the right part number...i've searched forever. dont tell me its the 305 or 306 number because those arent the right ones. i need the part number from the package of someone who's been able to get a hold of the right one.
seriously...wtf does honda do when they have to replace the thermostat on the prelude? they dont even have access to the correct part number.

gp to the dealer and tell them you need a thermostat for a 1995 prelude vtec, and the package should have a part number with p13 in it. if it does not have a p13 in it then they are trying to give you the wrong part.
here are the part numbers:
19301-P13-305
19301-P13-306
they were probably trying to give you part number
19301-P08-315
or
19301-P08-316
