Default Fit HFP Exhaust?

I am just going to assume everyone knows what a nissan 350z and an infiniti G35 exhaust sounds like. It sounds kinda throaty and nice. I was wondering if that was what the HFP exhaust sounds like. Thanks!

those exhausts are patented to nissan, no other car can mimmik that sound, even tho it sounds amazingly beautiful. I in deed want to hear what the sports exhaust sounds like.

I would have to disagree and say that it is more due to the 3.5L higher compression V-6 engine that contributes to that exhaust note than just the piping itself.

I saw a variable length tailpipe once. It allowed you to adjust the position of the resonator to allow for change in pitch, purely a BS thing but it was pretty cool. But the thing that gave it the real rumble was the HEMI.

You can make an exhaust deeper by adding a longer resonator but the sound it makes has a lot to do with displacment, compression, and the firing order of the cylinders.

I was kind of hoping that that wasn't the case. I love hearing a 350z run by me at low rpms. GOD DAMN! That **** is so hot. So maybe custom piping with a longer resonator with a nice stock resembling muffler i suppose?

what u gonna do, make the exhaust pipe do a loop-de-loop and then head towards the back?

well i don't have a fit right now. But i am saving up for one! I was just wondering because these are still new cars with new parts coming out. Maybe a company will make a nice sounding one. I may just experiment on my eg sedan and see what happens.

It was just my thoughts; don't take it so personally.

Back to the topic of exhausts, check out some of the other exhaust threads here. There are some links to how they sound on the Fit.

Exactly. V6/I4 = Apples/oranges.

I'm sure you can get a lice, low tone out of a Fit, but it's not going to sound like a 280hp V6 no matter how hard you try. I'll bet when Mugen's exhaust makes it here, it'll sound fantasic--but not like a 350z.

A WRX flat 4 sounds kida Porsche-like because both cars have boxer/opposed motors despite the 2 cylinder difference.

I dunno.

Also because of the unequal length exhaust manifolds on the earlier cars.

I have a HFP muffler, adn no it doesn't make that much of a different sound then stock, just barely noticable, not worth the purchase to get it if you want sound.
