Default Staright exhaust, no cat for turbo. Need input.

How many of you guys are running straight exhaust with no cats? i'm think about just using the downpipe to the exhaust, but I know its illegal. Give me your thoughts on this. And I can't afford a high flow cat and all that other flanges welding blah blah. Give me all your input. Also im turbo.

thats the best you can do for performance... but i hear sandiego has some of the worse cops... i would add some resonators to that equation... it wont hurt performance and it will reduce the sound ....

i am running a 3in thermal staright threw turbo back on a 2.2l stroker gsr with a t66, that i have just built for customer. the turbo helps to baffle the sound quite abit. it sounds amazing and isnt too loud.

however, i would seriosly watch your *** in san diego. they will decible wand your ***. something which cops would never do over here.

they pull over alot of hondas in general for anything they can just to check vin anyway to look for stolen vehicles

it won't be terribly loud if you have resonators

3" downpipe, no cat, 3" thermal...it's really not that loud.
the only thing loud about it is the open dumptube
buddy of mine has a built n/a integra, apexi n1 catback, and the thing is obnoxiously loud.

just like akstunt1600 said, the turbo acts as a muffler of sorts, and really quiets it down. i can put up a video if you want.

I have a 3" DP w/ E-Cutout, no cat running to a 3" Thermal, it is not loud but a very deep sound, you can tell its Turbo and not NA.... and with the cutout open it sounds great.
