best cams and springs/retainers to use on a lsvtec 2.0
so my buddy is building his lsvtec gsr 2.0 turbo and is buying his bottom end from JG and hes getting a gsr head and having it port and polished and 3 angle valve job etc. i was wondering what are a good set of cams to use for turbo..and same with springs and retianers and valves?
choice of cams usually are.. the crower 404's, ctr itr's for boost. oh and gsr's of course..

id honestly say itr or ctr cams, but an aftermarket spring/retainer. ive heard of high boost pushing the valve keepers through the retainers.
i had stock b16 cams and noticed a difference when i put the gsr's in. the itrs should be even better

ITR or CTR camshafts seem to work great. I can't say for sure who makes the best springs and retainers. I personally use Super Tech but I highly recommend Ferrea as well. If you do end up going with an aftermarket springs and retainers be sure to also purchase recommended keepers as well. I know Ferrea sells recommended keepers with their valve train
