Default new clutch, problems

I just had the clutch on my gsr replaced by the local schmuck and now the clutch pedal has vibration near the top of the release. I told him that it feels like the pressure plate wasn't centered properly on the flywheel or that the flywheel wasn't resurfaced properly. He tells me that I don't know **** about cars and it's because of the CV boots that I didn't want him to replace. Now, assuming my cv joints were shot to **** and my axle was broken, would the clutch pedal vibrate when the car isn't moving if there wasn't something else wrong??? I think not! Opinions?

thanks as always

what kinda clutch? 3 months i threw in my clutchmaster stg 3 with flywheel and it vibrates too, doesn't affect performance but annoying. i think this is causing my throw out bearing to ware out, i don't know if it's normal for new clutch kits (refering to t.o.b.) to ware out fast, it getting louder.

did he replace the pilot bearing????

for both of you guys actually??

there should be absolutely no vibration throught the pedal.

the pilot bearing is what centers the input shaft in the transmission, your gears wont live very long if this was left out, or the old one was in ver bad condition. just fyi, i have seen alot of idiots leave them out completely

actually after i broke in my clutch, i had to shift a gear lower just to get into 3rd or fifth, example: going to fifth i would have to clutch, put in fourth and the to fifth, or clutch and throw it in second before i go into third. if i just go straight into 3rd or fifth, i would have to force it in.

it is the clutch alright, i makes a squeaking belt noise when pedal is free and vibrates, noise goes away when slightly pressed.

i replaced the clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, flywheel and throwout bearing. it does feel like a slip once in a while under heavy abuse.
