another high idle problem
my idle stays roughly at 1200-1500 rpm. i changed out the FITV with a newer one.
i noticed when i spray carb cleaner directly at the throttle body (where the throttle cable spring is) the car seems to either choke or rev higher. could the gasket/throttle possibly be the cause of the high idle?

check to make sure yout iacv is tight and the TB gasket
I would take the IACV off and blast it would with some gun scrubber (you can get it at wal-mart) or some carb cleaner and inspect it for cracks
check over your vacuum lines and make sure there are no holes in them

problem fixed. changed out the throttle body gasket (felpro # 60973) and put in a newer IACV. idle now is 750rpm.
could have just been the gasket or just the IACV. but i know for sure, i had a leak where the tb sat next to the manifold.
thanks to all with positive outlook.
