Head Gasket Question?

Default Head Gasket Question?

Hey i have a d16z6, and im just about 2 boost it but i want to put a lower compression head gasket on. But my question is putting on the new gasket on all I do is pull off the head, remove the old and put in the new lower compression gasket? I is it more complacated?

when u remove oem headbolts ur not suppose to reuse em...

if u plan on boosting u should get sum arp ones anyway

& retorque the head properly

they always say dont reuse the bolts. but for my own account and personal curiosity i used them over and over and over again, on a boosted z6, never had a problem. just make sure the engine is cold when you seperate the head from the block. heat expands metal and adds more pressure to the bolts usually causing a break.
i think its more job security and money venture for honda to ask you to buy more stuff lol.

do u know what im suppose to torque the bolts to?
