Default Which Aeromotive FPR?

I was planning on selling my AEM fpr and going with a firewall mounted Aeromotive unit because I heard too many stories about diaphram failure with AEM.

Which model should I get? I searched the archives but everyone seems to have something different. Here's a link to the Aeromotive regulators:

I personally just want something that can be remote mounted. It's for a high hp car and I'm afraid that excess vibration will eventually break a rail mount.

Well damnit, who can clear this up? I thought the rail-mounts were inferior. My rail-mount AEM worked fine on my other setup, but I didn't want to reuse it because I've heard horror stories about diaphram failure. I have no idea what causes it, but I know excess vibration is never good.

the rail mounted one cost a lot more then the universal regs that everyone uses.

I use the A1000-6 Injected Bypass Regulator, P/N 13109 and mounted on my AEM fuel rail with no problem so far.

That it does. I personally believe its better to have a remot mounted regulator, with all the pulses in the rail can throw off the pressure more so when rail mounted then remote mounted.

I cut down on fuel pulse i also run two -8an feeds off a y block, one to each end of the rail. then from the rail a -6an to the regulator. I guess its overkill but im a little ocd like that. plus it looks sick as hell LOL

question about remote mounted FPRs...

what do you guys do with the leftover holes on the fuel rail? can they be plugged with an NPT plug or is there a block off plate that you can buy/make?

Enzo, My AEM FPR failed that other day and caused a hydrolock with fuel. AEM swears up and down that they have NEVER heard of a single failure of there FPR. How many times have you personally heard of a problem with them?

Mine came to me leaking out of the top hat. I sent it back for repair and it was still leaking from the top hat. Then the diaphram failed and DUMPED fuel into my intake manifold and cylinders causing a hydrolock. I "think" my motor is ok, maybe.
