Default machine shop

ok guys.. i have a bare b18b1 block.. and im fixing to take it to the shop to get it decked out.. and honed.. also cleaning it up a bit.. wut else should i put on my list for them to do?? (and if ya'll might know wut would be the total of all this.. as in price wise?) Thanks.

hot tank it they actually dont hot tank it but basicly clean all the crap off it. i think i paid like 80 bucks for a hone and hot tank it was a while ago.

best bet would be to call the local machine shop

around me a leak down test from pcm is $25
from the engine lab in tampa its $80

but there is obviously a quality difference

Look for quality not price ask around and get references. There are alot of hacker machines shops out there that will destroy your parts and your wallet. Most people don't findout until months, years later

exactly, if you still have the crank and flywheel on it you'll probably want the flywheel resurfaced. And maybe get the block notched depending on the rotating assembly you'll be using.

have them make sure the bores are still round you might need a overbore, it would suck to get the block back like this 0000 insted of OOOO rings would never right and it would smoke like crazy... nay mean
