intake lines and hoses??
ok, to make a long story short, i'm putting my stock ITR motor in (8000mi) for a little while as the built motor is getting some new vavles and pistons. got the stock one in with new oils of course for the motor/tranny, as i'm putting on my CAI i see lines and hoses everywhere. my question is this:
there's obviously a hose going from the valve cover to the intake... off of that hose/line theres 2 splits that lead elsewhere. 1: hose connecting to the TB. 2: hose connecting to the actual head right under the fuel rail. i have looked this over in the past as it's my first time noticing it.
do they NEED to be there, and if not do i need plug them up with something?

Coolant obviously runs though those lines, to help heat the throttle body to prevent the throttle plate from sticking while cold (IIRC)? You can loop them or plug them (I still have mine hooked up like factory) however some people dont run them. As far as the need for them? Prob not totally necessary, especially out where you live
There are a couple threads on this but I forget what they're titled under.

ok i got it, i'm just going to run hose from the valve cover > intake arm. and hose from the bottom of the TB > back of the head. almost like stock i guess just eliminating that 4 way metal line...
