PSA: Always make sure you tighten the rotor retaining screw on your distributor.
As you can guess from the post title, i did not properly tighten the screw when i replaced my cap and rotor
. here is the resulting mayhem, its a cell phone pic so its hard to tell whats going on, there is a hole in the cap, lots of shrapnel inside, bits of plastic and metal everywhere, the rotor is broken, and the leads on the cap are tore up, one is down to a nub
but all is well, its fixed and running fine, coulda been worse
