D-Series tranny problem...
I just purchased a 1993 Honda Civic EX and about a month what i thought the clutch went out it was actually the tranny so i replaced the tranny with a S20 tranny well i finished it up and what not then i start the car no plm well when i am in NEUTRAL i left off the clutch the car will die. and when i push in the gas and let off the clutch the car will go but slowly. when i am in 1st-5th and REVERSE i let off the clutch and push in the gas the car just stays cld it be something wrong with my shift linkage (what people are telling me) or is the tranny just bad? so confused cause when when when i got the tranny it spun good like no plm so i had no doubts the tranny was bad so if anyone can throw in there 2 cents let me know wld like to get it solved soon thx!

i dont think it wld be a wiring problem because the car stays on it just dies out in neutral when i release the clutch so I dunno and i dont see how i cld have wired something up wrong when i didnt cut any wires :/
fast95eg8: any ideas on to how it cld have been put in wrong? or any ideas on how i cld fix it...some people are telling me to just get a new shift linkage and it might solve it...thx

ok there really is only one way to describe it:
when it is in NEUTRAL I let off the clutch and dont push in the gas the car will stall...when the car is in 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear, 5th gear, or REVERSE I let off the clutch and push in the gas the car will sit there...BUT when the car is in NEUTRAL and I let off the clutch and push in the gas the car will move...is that explained better?
