Help ek with JDM H22
So i got a 98 EK with a JDM H22 a few days. One my way home with it, it threw the check engine light so i cut it off turned it back on and it was fine for awhile. then the next night i was drivng it came on again so i did the same and it turned off but now it keeps coming on and vtec will not engage. So i used the jumper and it is showing a code 12, which is EGR i believe. So then i looked at the EGR and the top hose coming off of it was not hooked up. I don't know where it needs to go and i am not sure why that would cut off VTEC. I was told that the O2 sensor might be the problem but will that cut out the VTEC. I have checked the selinoid and it plugged it.
So any help will be nice.

So it turns out not to be a code 12 it is a code 22 which is vtec oil pressure right? So i was told to take the selinoid off and spray with cleaner what do yall think?
Check the selenoid out and make sure there's no junk in the screen. Make sure all the wires are ran properly also.

when the last time you checked your oil????? or changed it?? do what anthony said...and change your oil.......all I can think of right now......and for future referance when yo uthrow a CEL yor ECU goes into limp mode and your redline drops to 6000 rpms you run rich as hell and vtec goes bye bye......
