Default Timing is way off after cam install. But Cam and Crank are in sync. NEED HELP!

Well I checked the timing with a timing light today and found out why the car isnt running the way it should! The timing is wayyyyy off. Now I put the crank at TDC and the cam is TDC as well. So why the heck is the timing off so bad. I drew a shitty pic of what it looks like and how much it is off. This is after I manually advanced the timing on the dizzy!

So adjust the belt back a tooth and reinstall everything. I guarantee it'll fix the problem.

your timing is off a tooth. lossen the timing belt, and move the cam gear back one notch. its bitch, but it can be done without taking everything off.

lossen the tensioner, lossen up the belt, remove the belt, move the cam gear one notch, put the belt back on, use a coat hanger to pull up on the tensioner and retighten the 14mm.
