Well first of all I bought a whole longblock (D16y8) but all I want to do is swap manifolds. The motor is from a 99 Civic so it has the air injection holes. Does anyone here have a good guide to do this yourself? Do I need the y8 throttle cable. What else do I need for this?

 

You should sell the long block and buy an Auto complete manifold for your year and pick up a y8 throttle cable. Next swap out intake manifolds and your done.

 

I want to keep the longblock because Im in the process of turboing it and want to have that motor as a backup. Im also keeping the head just incase.

 

It should be a pretty easy plug and play swap, i did it on my moms car...
