Default help me pick parts

ok guys, so im wanting to pick some engine parts out for my car, its the stock d16a6, and im lookin for a good engine rebuild kit, cam, and intake, ive found the engine kit, but cant seem to find a cam for a non-vtec head, and the only intake i can find is for a y8. so if anyone can help me find a cam, and intake, or if you can tell me if the y8 intake will work on my car, it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

d is a d man. almost every part can be swapped from and d series motor. just check first. i think but am not to sur about the cams being swapable but the intake manifold. (im guessing you meant that by intake) should go on perfectly.

any d-series intake manifold will fit. there's a conspiracy on which one the y8 or z6 due too which one flows better. but if you want cheap and better flow. find a a6 manifold bore out your tb and port match the manifold. thats just me though now as for cams i would go with exospeed as stated they speacialize in a6's

i recommend the stage II. you didn't really specify that you were building an all out race car..... reving an A6 block to 8,000+ rpms.

the 8valve cam will NOT work in the A6 head. I know at times exospeed has cores available. you might want to contact them.

go to the junk yard man you can score on a6 cams for cheap even in our classifieds. i didnt no you were building an all out all motor a6. but anyway if your concerned about gas homie your best bet is the stage 2. its still a good cam. i would think it would be great on gas compared against the stage 3. but with the stage 3 to get maximum potential you would have too work on the head a bit even though you can run it on a stock one. plus it pulls way past redline might wanna invest on some upgraded valves and springs if you want that and a chipped ecu. oh yeah you can also ask them if they have cores available as stated by streetwerkz.
