how do i do a compression test ??

Default how do i do a compression test ??

its a 90 crx Si motor sitting in my garage waiting to be rebuilt.

i wanna know if you can test it while its out of the car before i swap it in my DX.

anyone??

Just unplug the fuel pump fuse (or acutal pump if it's gutted)
remove all the spark plugs. Install the comp tester and at WOT, give it about 4-5 turns, Then read record then do the next one.

you'll need the tranny to be attached and to have the starter bolted on to do it with it out of the car. You won't get an accurate reading unless the motor is hot so it is not really worth trying.

That's what you have to do, but like he said, it won't give you an accurate reading.
