Brakes
Hey I've got rear drums on my '03 EX. I wanna get a conversion but i dont want the discs to look different that the fronts so i think i'm gunna 4 new discs. What else do i need to convert my drums in the back? just new calipers? or more because i already have the brake lines and everything from the drum. Thanks
What do you mean different?? They will always look different because the nature for most DD street cars is a front brake bias. If you are talking about the rotors in general then get all four turned.
If you really wanted to get extream you could get some nice aftermarket kits (brembos, wildwood, rotora, etc.). Doing this would allow you to do what you wanted as far as simalarities. You would not want to get a set of 4, but two sets of two and change the rotor size ect. Most people feel that the optimum setup is a larger front and smaller rear. But.....if you really want to get technical, in reality you are better off with larger rear and making it so you have a rear brake bias. This will result in less "diving" of the car under hard braking into corners. For most purposes and for as light as a civic is just go with the ep3 brakes, upgrade the lines, and the pads and call it good.
