I have a 94 Hatch CX. Im looking at swapping a B16A1. The swap is coming out of a CRX. I know that i will need a cable/hydo tranny conversion but what else?? Will the PR3 ecu work or no?

 

I'm not sure how bad emissions is in your area, but the Smog ***** will have a field day if you change emissions systems in your car. The 94's are OBDI and the CRX's are Pre-OBD. You will more than likely need to adapt the system to OBDI. Sport Compact Car swapped in a Gen-1 B16 into a EG Hatch in their April 2002 issue, but neglected to mention anything about the emissions systems. They did use a VTEC harness from HASport, but I think that was just to wire in the VTEC system. Sorry I couldn't be of more help...

Yeah...I got the engine, ecu, ant tranny now and i tried to see if the ECU would work. The plugs are completely different.

 

Yep. your gonna kick yourself heres what you need
harness, ecu, axles, injectors, distributor, motor mount, cable-hydro conversion or new tranny.
for what your gonna spend on that misc. **** you could have bought a b16 SECOND GEN and saved money and hassle.

For what ive got invested in the engine and tranny I think it'll be worth it. HAS has the engine mount kit and the Cable/hydro conversion kit for like 500. I dont have any idea how much the ECU and injectors will be though. Does anyone know WHICH ECU I need to use? Is there any market for selling the PR3 i have now?
