good coilover for road racing?
I have a 89 crx si that os slowly turning into a car that I can scca road race and I am looking for a good coilover that is legal to use and does not cost 4 million dollars. Any help would be great. Thanks!
ive had good results with GC/Koni set-ups, on two cars, both street and track. Good for the money, and with Koni's revalving services, you have room to grow with spring rates.
Threaded shock bodies are legal, but i havent had any experience with anything worth talking about.

Progress
They aren't adjustable, but can be re-valved and they have a number of good baseline valving combos that fine right out of the box. I'm getting close to three years on mine without any issues. Super stout and very affordable.

good call. I have read good things about progress. Also, its good to note that adjustable isnt always better.

TEIN is average. I wish I went with another suspension choice though.

kinda depends on your application and what coilover.
i LOVE my teins, they are some of the best on the market for the 240sx. to get a good coilover from them you gotta shell the money.
RA's or nothing on a track car.

Some expert, whom I sincerely believe in from his everyday job and superb forum reply + knowledge sharing, who visit this forum dyno'ed a few model of Teins wish resulted is not much differece between the valving of the models...I think RAs were dyno'ed, basic and SS...I wish I could find the topic back, let me check.

the build quality on something like the RA vs basic's are a little bit different too. the valving isnt TOO much different but you couple that with spring rates and overall quality and its better
tein has always had a "weak" damping system when compared to some of the other stuff out there but they do make a quality product.
tanabe > tein, but even the above average driver wont notice too much of a difference between them.
