i cant unscrew this screw!!!!!!!!!
ok i got a honda civic dx hatchie 93 and its automatic i wana replace the bulb on the gear panel but i cant unscrew one of the two screw right under the handbrake. they guy that had the car before me had jack up the screw so its is unscrewable now. how do i take it out now i thought about making it a flat head screw but i dont know with what to cut it with. i will post some pics tomorow please help on how to unscrew this screw.!!!
it's a bitch they all seem to lock, on the left one from what i've seen, but a number 3 phillips head bit fit it perfect, anything smaller then exact is going to strip it. no question about it. but take the #3 and push down and twist like ya got a pair..
I've taken them out on 2 civics of that era, yes... they are a b!tch!!!
I had to use an impact screw driver (hand held + hammer).
If its completely stripped (as most end up ) you can either use stripped screw remover set (not sure if you have these tools available). Vice grips don't normally work with these (they're tiny and round).
If you can't manage to get the screw out by making it into a flat head, then you have to drill right through it and replace the screw.
