Default JDM B16A ( 1st Gen ) Throwing 6 CODES!!!!!!

Vehicle:

2000 EM1. JDM B16A ( first gen )
P2T ECU.

Scenario:

I was running a P06 chipped for B16 OBD 1 ECU for awhile. Then it had some problem because of the ECU so I switched back to a P2T ( Original 99-00 Si ECU) When I put the ECU back on I notice I gain alot of power back. BUT!!! The freaking ENGINE light went on. So I brought it to my buddy's AutoZone and got it scanned. 6 diff kinda codes went on!!! and here they are......

P1298 - IDM FAILURE ??????
P0135 - 1st 02 sensor malfuntion ???
P1337 - NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS ?????
P0141 - 2nd O2 sensor malfuntion ????
P0453 - Evaporation Emission Control system sensor HIGH INPUT ?????
P0450 - Evap Emission Control System pressure sensor malfuntion ????

I have no freaking idea what to do to fix these problem. can anyone help with ANY OF THEM!? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE =D. I'm trying to pass smog again.

did you just swap all of the OBD2 emmisions stuff on to a obd0 short block?
or did you put all the obd0 stuff in cause when you plug in a obd2 ecu it looks for things the obd0 motor doesnt have....

well according to him in a previous post, he simply switched a P06 (presumably A01) and plugged in a P2T w/o rewire or anything... i'm sure his engine bay is just a cluster of expletive.

don't think its a true EM1, prob just assumption of body code and VIN - but yeah that's how cars in this North OC Area go... rrankenstein motors and such to little mom pop shops and who knows what the end-up is hehe

Can I get some help or is this just gonna be a flammed POST? Obviously the previous owner of the car did a half *** job of putting a motor back on. Based on the vehicle is a slavage title due to THEF. They pretty much strip everything down to bare bone. So he just got the car back and put in a bunch of **** just to get it up and running. Now since he was selling the car for very cheap i thought i pick it up and fix some minor stuff. Like the ECU thing.

first of all i'd check your wiring - is it all messy rewired stolen from some other car or watnot lookin? putting the OBD2 ECU onto an OBD1 shouldn't work at all - Dizzy and Alternator and all kinds of issues would start to light up - from basic deduction i think you prob mean you had a P06 for OBD2 which was reprogrammed for B16 use, i bet your motor is just an older OBD1 motor with either rewired dizzy or transplanted OBD2 dizzy. its hard to tell you whats up given that your car: A. has a poor history, B. you don't know exactly what's in it either, and C. we aren't able to see what you have wired in or whatnot. given that you said you just plugged the ecu in, i bet you're only OBD2 - have obd2 injectors, alternator, dizzy on that supposed-to-be-obd1 motor. P0453 and P0450 are seemingly related to Evap Purge and Emissions, you prob only have one wired O2 sensor or none at all... that's all i can deduce from online look at this post, so just hit me up on AIM and i'll try to arrange time to go check out whats goin on with your car.

usually with swaps like this i'd stay away from the USDM ecus because they are all progged and set ot look for emissions protocol - you don't need that if you have a JDM motor which has all tha stuff removed. complex, isn't it?

Damn Andy! I never knew u knew so much about **** like this. anyways I'm just trying to get my car to pass smog again. I spoke to my dad about the codes and he said that my wires been hacked up pretty good. Well, my car has gained alot of power ever since I swapped the P2T back on. And NO I am not only imagine'n the power. I can actually tell a big diff. Plus my GAS MILEAGE has been great and Vtec is engage'n at a correct time where I don't loose power. On top of that I got a REV limiter again. So all in all its pretty good. I am just trying to get all the parts back together to pass smog. Thanks for your help though its greatly appreciated.

Default Re: JDM B16A ( 1st Gen ) Throwing 6 CODES!!!!!! (JDM B16A)

Code List

P0135: Primary O2 heater malfunction
P0141: Secondary O2 heater malfunction
P0450: EVAP/FTP Circuit malfunction
P0453: EVAP/FTP High Voltage
P1298: ELD High Voltage
P1337: CKF no signal

The ELD, O2 heaters and EVAP solenoids share a common fuse. If you're still rocking a straight up OBD0 motor, then it doesn't have a CKF sensor, thus that code. If your wiring harness is butchered, get a new one. Do you have all the OBD2 EVAP stuff in place (like the charcoal canister) or was it ripped out too?

You should get a Helms manual.

in a nutshell - just sell your motor and redo harness and get an OBD2 motor if you're lookin to pass smog lol

Look: we just gave you a ton of options and answers. Sorry you bought someone else's abortion and now are stuck neck-deep in a shithole of problems, but bitching about it isn't accomplishing much now is it? Go out and tinker with the stuff we told you and get back to us.
