b16a with b16b computer

Default b16a with b16b computer

im putting a jdm b16a in a 99 ex and im lookin at computer and i was woundering if its possible to use the b16b type r ecu on my b16a.

if it is does it really have a speed limiter in it?
is it woth getting this ecu even though im going to raise the redline to about 10,500?
if i choose to get b16a ecu is there any difference in jdm one than us one im keeping the car obd2 for emissions.

the b16a isnt stock its fully built made to redline 10k+.

By going with the PCT ecu you are going to not have any ability to chip or reprogram that ecu, I would stick to OBD1, simply put because you will need all of the OBD2 sensors in order for the CEL to stay off. (Crank Flux sensor on oil pump housing, second O2 sensor, fuel tank pressure sensor, purge valve on fuel rail, and the canister vent solenoid which your charcoal canister should have.)

the problem is my emissions here arnt sniffed they plug in with a scanner and check for codes so i have to keep it obd2 to pass cause after 7 fails they pull the registration

the engine had 11.5:1 compression wiseco pistons, eagle h beam rods, crower stage2 3/4 race cams with 84161 crower retainers and dual springs,4-1 jdm header, blox intake manifold.

if that is the case then you are gonna need to get all of those sensors, because they are all emissions related sensors.

Crank Flux is used to determine misfire based on abnormal crank signals.
Purge Valve is use to open the path to the vent solenoid, to expel fumes from the tank.
Vent Solenoid which opens the canister to the purge valve.
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor to determine if the system needs to purge.
Second O2 to determine if the Catalyst is functional.

You will need to make a provision for the fuel tank pressure sensor in the fuel tank somehow, because it also has to have an atmospheric bleed to determine pressure difference.

You will also need a OBD2 oil pump housing, because the OBD1 pump does not have the bolt and keeper for the Crank sensor.

Everything else is straight forward, the second O2 must be in the cat for the PCM to pass this monitor.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the reluctor wheel for the Crank Sensor, it will need this as well.

ive got for it except the computer and trans im hopping to have this thing on the road next month
