Default HID question

Wassup HT'ers. I am considering doing HID's on my coupe. What is the difference between the plug n play kits and the ones with bubs and ballasts? How do they fit with stock headlight housing?

Default Re: HID question (mikeycivic)

I thought the plug and play was a way to describe the ease of installation. all HID kits have the bulbs/ballast. I've messed with one before by ... ? I forget. Anyways, just make sure you get the Hi/Lo setup (assuming you have H4) since the one I installed only had the Lo Beam setup.

it's pretty easy to setup. it should come with a harness that "plugs" right into your existing light harness. Bulbs should fit fine into stock headlamps (from what i hear you need to do some mods to aftermarket headlamps)

i hope that helps.
