Rewiring the Safety for the Clutch
Ok I have a 91 CRX Si that I recently bought. The kid that I bought it from somehow bypassed the safety for the clutch so you don't have to push it in to start the car. Well Friday it started up fine and everything, but I went to start it Saturday and nothing happened. The car does push start though. I checked the battery, it's fine, I even replaced it with a brand new one which did nothing so the battery is ruled out. The starter is relatively new, less than a year, so I highly doubt that is it. So my next and cheapest option is that maybe the wiring that this kid did to keep the clutch circuit closed came undone somehow. Does anybody know how to rewire the clutch so that you have to push it in to start the car? Or have any ideas as to why it won't start?

all you need to do to bypass the clutch safety switch isunplug the switch, and use a jumper wire to complete the circuit, check under the dash, and you should see something down there. Mabey something is fubared there. Also check the start wiring, and the grounds on the engine.
I'd rather not push the pedal in then having too. Just pop her in neutral and start her up.
As for your problem, try checking the ground to the starter. Old grounds can prevent electricity from flowing thru the starter, causing it to not spin...happened to me, but it was more a case of forget to connect the ground then having it rust off.

Yeah check the ground thats what happened to me a few times. Also it may not work b/c its dirty. My cv boot on my axle ripped one time and the grease covered the ground and that caused it not to work.
