Default how do i do the S-AFC HACK!!!

im trying to figure out how to trick the map because i am having alot of problems throwing a cel, i looked at the v-afc hack diagram, but the settings are different for the v-afc, does anyone know how i can do it on the s-afc or any other ways to trick the map? i tried the check valve method but im still throwing cel. also does anyone know which wire you use for the map sensor i was told it was the white wire (obd-0) do you think its possibly one of the other map wires? any help is great!

You need THREE check valves. In sequence, all pointing the right way.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SloS13 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">You need to use check valves when using an AFC? Thats news to me. IIRC, the AFC hides boost from the ECU</TD></TR></TABLE>

We have manifold absolute pressure on our cars,,,not mass air flow like others...so yeah you need this

I thought with a piggyback you didn't have to run check valves as long as you were running &lt;10psi </TD></TR></TABLE>

i wouldnt call the afc a piggyback,,,,if you're running something like turboedit,crome,uberdata,etc...then you dont have to run the check valves cause with those programs it sets the ecu up for booost....

and yeah that stock map sensor can only read about 10-11 boost,,,but i know many people running more then 15psi on stock map,,just have to get creative with the tuning

thank you guys for your help, i saw a post that said if you were doing the hack, you didnt need check valves b/c it changes your map sensor voltage, im not sure though another thing, does anyone know what the color of the map wire is for the s-afc? is it possibly the middle wire? I have already tried the white wire, but everytime, it throws cel (map) connect it back together without the afc and its fine. so hopefully its the other wire. thanks for the help!!

i figured it out!!! thank you guys for all of your help, i had to splice the wire for the map right at the sensor, not at the ecu, as soon as i did, the car ran and boosted fine with no cel for map! and my car IS running fine and boosting fine at 7 lbs, with NO check valves! Thanks guys
