broken bolt hole. What to do?
After wasting all day on stupid mistakes with my engine swap, I am finishing up and I notice my valve cover bolt keeps spinning.
Yep. You guessed it. Busted.
I've included a zoomed-in version on the left of the image.

Can anyone recommend what to do about this hole? I would use epoxy or something (as I have the piece that broke off as well) but I'm afraid it will fall off again and screw with my rocker arms. Will it hold okay with just the four bolts?

if you have some down time i would probably give jb weld a shot. if you still have the other piece. that **** works wonders, just make sure that you get all the oil off with brake clean before starting and let it set a goog long time.
You can try JB weld. But if that doesn't work you will need to replace that peice. Any other head, judging by the forward facing spark plug holes, and the fast that your signature is gassavers.org, I'm assuming that's a D15Z1 head. Grab any other head from an OBD1 D series with SOHC VTEC and replace that peice. Better off the replace it then to rig it.

I have no plan on doing this. I think it's a silly idea actually. I'd rather just replace the entire head, and I have NO intention of doing that either.
Why would I replace the head on an engine with less than 60k on it?
I'm going to leave it as is for now. If I notice oil coming out the front area I'm going to have to try to JB weld it and tap a new hole. Maybe I should do that anyway considering that the engine won't be fired up for a few days.

Better yet, simply overtorque the valvecover by a few pounds. Before that, JB weld the hole in the VC shut haha. Problemed solved.
PS: Oil looks dirty, time to change it

Oil is from Japan
compared to my old d15b2 that i just pulled, this is the cleanest oil in the world.
Oh, and I'm now scared to overtorque anything. Overtorquing the valve cover is what got me where I am now.
