Re: Snapped VALVE COVER BOLT (ramos2589)
Very carefully with a tap set. Ive had to do it twice. first time I was successful, second time not so much ended up ruining the threads for it

Before that, if possible, it's time for the WD-40 and vise grips. If there's even just a little piece sticking out you should be able to grab it and carefully remove it. Just soak it good and wait first. Worked for me once.

Re: (mdnm89)
no you don't need the tap set...just unscrew the borken bolt out of the head. simple as that...just go to a junk yard and pull another valve cover bolt out of another civic. just use a wrench to get that broken piece out...gl

reverse drill bits. if there is still a bit sticking up maybe try using a screwdriver and a hammer and tap it out. worked for me a couple of times on other bolts
