Default 96 integra sedan, will these fit?

I have an Alpine Headunit CDE-9852, and i was wondering if some Alpine type S 6x9's would fit on the rear deck. it says the type R's will but not the type S's.

Also do i need the type R's if i am not running an amp?
Is there other 6x9's that are better for same price (less then 100 shipped on ebay)?

Link to headunit http://www.crutchfield.com/S-T...E9852

thank you

The depth would be my only concern, as they might hit the trunk springs... You may just want to measure from the rear deck to the springs, and then measure the speaker and see if they'll drop in.

As far as running an amp, you don't need an amp, but they'll sound a hell of a lot better not running off deck power.

With 18 watts rms, they'll probably sound about the same...

Depends on how comfortable you are disassembling/reassembling your car and how familiar you are with wiring amps in general. It's the same as wiring a 2channel sub amp, just with 2 additional channels..

for someone totally newb, but i did put in my HU, without the adapter, and am not a retard. and know how to hook up the power from the battery, and then to ground it. and run the RCA's on the oppsite side of the car as the power. but after that it gets fuzzy. i did a monoblock one for a sub, but nothing for speakers.

FWIW, I have the R's in my 99 GS Sedan (pushed by a RF400a4), and am pretty happy with them.......
