Your gonna need a a/f guage if you wanna see if your runnin rich or lean. Then you can try to tune it with your vafc.

Anything that allows more power is better.

I had my VAFC before I put on my turbo and now use it with my turbo. Unfortunately, I have been told by several that the VAFC is nothing but problems for your car as far as the fuel applications.

The reason: VAFC does not switch from low to high fuel maps well. I don't completely understand why it does not, maybe there is somebody else here that can explain this a bit better. I will be disconnecting the VAFC from the MAP wire this week sometime, but I will keep the VTEC function actvated since I need my crossover up pretty high.

as i understand it the problem is you're activating the VTEC solenoid and the ECU doesnt know about it. it switches fuel maps when it throws the VTEC signal. so just cause you moved the vtec switchover point higher to, say, 6000, the ECU moved over to the high fuel map back at 4400....

It is to my understanding that it attempts to change fuel maps when you reach a certain throttle point. For instance, if I tell the computer that my Hi begins at 60% throttle position(Wide), it will switch to that fuel setting. The same goes for the Low, but I could be wrong. I'm still not having fun with the thing right now, because I believe its making me run a bit richer even at settings that appear on the screen to be leaner than stock.
