obd1 conversion...problem?

Default obd1 conversion...problem?

alright well i jus did my obd1 conversion yesterday, im VERY happy with it.. rywire . the only strange thing is that it idles so much lower than before, and when it starts cold it sounds like its "hammering" like a v8 does with a big cam out the exhaust. i also jus replaced the headgasket too yesterday. maybe its finally getting the right compression?

If you replaced the headgasket, can you say for a fact that the valve timing is dead on? Hammering is never a good sound on an interference motor.

i was thinking it was out of time, is that adjustable by the dizzy or do i ahve to do something else?

Check to make sure that when the Crank pulley is at TDC the Cam Pulley is also at TDC.

am i gonna have to take off the head to do that? or should there be a marking on the crank pulley?

make sure ur dizzy is centered too.
