just got my falken azenis
sorry no pics. i ordered them from http://www.tires.com (discount tire online). i ordered them monday and they arrived tuesday
their warehouse distribution center was in dallas so that could be why i got them so quick. anyways i paid $70 each tire and they were offering free shipping. just one look at these suckers and they are FAT. they look so much bigger then the stock tires o_O/ i would take pics but im too lazy and ill try to get them mounted on tomorrow. i hope these tires are better then re730's.

after getting an email from vulcan tire that they were on back order, I immediately canceled my order and bought some from discount tire for 70 a piece with free shipping.

I ordered my Azenis 2 weeks ago and just yesterday they were unloaded at a dock in Long Beach and sent on a truck to my local tire shop. They'll probably be here today or tomorrow, but I don't even have my car back yet so they'll be waiting for me.
Anyone have pictures of stock height R's with the Azenis, I want to see if the lower profile makes the car look like it needs to be lowered.

Wow the same for me, frig em, so I'll have them by Saturday the lastest... can't wait to rip some corners!
FINALLY SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT I POST IN HERE HUHUHU!!!
anyways, did you bother getting the 7 dollar lifetime warranty by any chance? also, did you get 205/50/15s?

mines came in on sat, and they are wide, they're more like 215's .....to me they look like twice the thickness of the reo's. probably have them on this weekend...OH JOY!
....time for some hard cornering

Floyd - Are you going to CMP this weekend? Obviously you won't have SSRs with Azenis, tho.
Has anyone had any bad experiance with the Azenis? I'm trying to figure out what my problem is. My car tracks all over the road under boost ( right and left) and the handling is very sloppy. They are mounted with the correct side facing out and I went to get my alignment and it was perfect still. I'm gonna drop my tire pressure from 36 to 32 and see what this does. I also put on my roommates wheels with nitto 450's and teh problem went away. The nittos are some of teh worst tires I ever drove on btw. My roommate and I both have the same size rota wheels so it was a good comparison. Any info or suggestions?
hybrid901, are you running a lsd? I assume you are. My experience w/ azenis aren't as good as everyone else on here but that's probably b/c they're looking for lateral grip and contact patch consistency while cornering rather than under heavy (boosted) acceleration. There are a few differences in the design of acceleration biased tires and road racing/autox counterparts. Nitto 450's generally suck b/c they don't "feel" (feedback, linear break-away characteristics, total lateral grip?) good and they don't wear as well as they should for the amount of grip they're giving but they hold up well to overpowering drag launches. While not being flat out radial drags, I think nitto is working toward superior straight line acceleration performance over corner carving prowess. Just what I think from personal exp.
