Default Shock/spring setup...

I am sitting on some super-old Neuspeed springs right now and they suck. They are sagging like crazy and the rebound with my current setup is terrible. I don't ever go to the track so I don't really NEED coilovers, so I was thinking of getting some Koni Yellows and Tanabe DF210 springs. This is also my daily driver, so what do you guys think of this? Do any of you sport either the springs or shocks, if so, how do you like them?

I have Koni yellows with H&R sport springs and the ride is great on a CD5 accord.
Car handles really well and you can adjust the stiffness of the ride to what ever feels comfortable to you. BTW I have the sp3s and it gives you a couple more settings for ride height but you have to adjust it before you install the springs. I have it set to the second to lowest height setting and have no wheel gap in front or back on stock 15" rims.

dont know, never drove his car. and hes a shitty driver, so i didnt even bother to ask him. but from what i felt from his passenger seat the spring rates are very soft, if i didnt know his springs were aftermarket iw ould think it was stock suspension, that might have alot to do with the KYB GR-2s since those are OE replacement shocks too. but IMO if you want better handling go with something more aggressive like the GF210 or some other springs

make sure if you are getting kybs NOT TO GET GR2's they are the worst.. they are a STOCK replacement shock! if your getting KYBs spend the extra $50 or so and get the AGX's they are a far far better shock and they are adjustable

my friend who has tanabe DF210+KYB GR-2s now useto have H&R sports+KYB AGX on his 4th gen accord and the AGX were waaaaay better, the GR-2s arent even perforamnce dampers, just stock replacement

I have sportlines w/ KYB AGX's. I love my setup and it only cost me about $500. It rides smooth and I can adjust the AGX's easily if I want them to be stiffer( I usually keep them on the lowest setting).

Good setup IMO

not an Accord but you get the idea( it's the white one)

There is about a 1 finger gap F+R between the wheel wells and the tires with the AGX on the lowest setting.

Look in these these threads:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1523280

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1075392

Any Accord with a 1.7" drop is going to look similiar to one with a sportline/AGX setup. Hope this helps.

have you seen how countless coilovers have broken from the mounting points?
or how their clutch master cylinders were blowing seals within minutes of being used?
now, im not saying there stuff is bad, in fact i use quite a bit of omni stuff but to say its "top quality" with their given history might be an over-statement...

I have only heard good things about Omnipower. If this is not the case, feel free to post up some links to prove it.

Im in the market for some new struts on my accord but i'm torn between the AGX and the Koni Yellow...can someone give me some more info into which would be better. All i really do is use the car to commute to and from work. Maybe a highway race or 2 now and then, but nothing outrageous like auto-x or anything like that.

AGX's will be about $300-400 for all 4, whereas you can get Koni Yellows for $500 shipped ( check the sponsor classifieds) Both are adjustable but the Koni's are better shocks.

unless you plan to corner balance your car and do some test and tuning with the coilovers its a waste of money. you'll be fine with some nice springs and AGX
