changing stereo deck in 2003 tiburon
I need to get a new deck for my car. Are most stereos a standar size or should I measure eveerything before going out and getting one. The one i have now is clarica, so I figured any new one would fit right. Im new at this so dont laugh.
Thanks

i have a friend that has a 00 tiburon, his alpine fit right in, u first u need to take off the plastic piece thats around the shifter(if its an auto, im assuming its the same for manual also) then the solid dash piece thats over the rest of the cd player(its hard to get off, both pieces). then there are screws holding everything in.
im not sure if its exactly the same style tho as ur 03

Cathy</TD></TR></TABLE> Yes all "din" HUs are the same size, You can use the same mounting system and wiring adapter as was used on the "clarica", [whatever that is, maybe a Clarion].

Yeah the deck i have now is a clarion, just a generic one that came with teh car
One thing I dont get is the wiring for the car, Im pretty sure this car comes stock with a amplifier correct? Will that cause me any trouble with wiring
I know everyone says to buy the wiring harnesses but wil it be needed?
Looking at getting a alpine/panasonic/sony type of deck
Nothing expensive
Abut getting the dash trim off so I can get the cd player out, how do I go about doing that? Feels like everythings gonna break when you try and pull the pieces off
thanks guys

Here is the wiring... http://www.the12volt.com/insta...13069, if you don't want to spring for a new adapt. harness, use the one on the Clarion, [if you can] cut the adapt. not the cars harness.
