Is a lower arm bar the same thing as a lower tie bar???
First off I posted already in the suspension forum I just figured i would get a quicker response here than there. Hey I was just wondering is a lower arm bar the same thing as a lower tie bar but in different wording, im asking this because i was told they are the same part. But i have some uneasiness about that answer cuz both parts sort of look differently than each other and i dont want to waste my money buying wrong parts.
The two parts in question is the DC Sports Lower Rear Tie Bar and the Skunk2 Rear lower arm bar.
Here's a link to both parts to get a better idea.

I plan on buying either the DC or Skunk2 lower tie bar and some Omni Power LCA's for my DA and i want to be sure.
Also is there an advantage in buying an aftermarket front crossmember??

so it would be considered the same thing, no??? Is there an advantage either one has over the other one?? What i dont get is if its the same thing, goes in the same place, why dont both parts have the same name??? Is it just a companies preference thing on what to call parts and what not?? Or is their a technical reason??

What do you base your opinion on??
alright then skunk2 it is thats the one i wanted anyways. So for my rear it is going to be Skunk2 Rear Lower Arm Bar complimenting Omni Power Rear Lower Control Arms.
Now Cusco offers a front lower tie bar and innovative mounts offers a aftermarket front crossmember, are there any advantages in buying these products as well??
Are there front lower control arms??

thanks for all the replies guys and that makes perfect sense with the welding. Yeah i guess i just want to get all my suspension done. Next after the LCA's and Rear LTB is gonna be the front LTB and Crossmember and suspension bushings. Im getting all into suspension so i want to do it right i guess you could say.

Thats the attitude to have
Do it all right the first time, is better then doing it twice.
Also I suggest not to get a front tie bar. This is my Spoon with a 1.5 inch drop.

damn and my car is probably lower than that i sure as hell aint gonna get that bar then thanks for the info cuz i would never have thought of that.
I got SPC and I love them. Came with the holes for my ABS line and a bushing that goes between the LCA & sway bar endlink bracket. Since I got the ITR sway it helped out alot.

Hmm, well, it is a pretty flattering gesture to have someone knock off your product, it says you know what you're doing...
You can get Function7 arms through me, if you wish.
