Default Cylinder head chamber damage report

A rod went through my block (eagle) and my piston made contact with my head. How bad does this damage look? If there are any head porters in here, please include how expensive of a fix this looks to you.

send it to endyn and let them inspect it and fix it. I've seen head with cracks all the way through to the water ports caused by detonation they have fixed.

honestly, i don't think it looks bad at all, i'd just take it to a good machine shop, have them inspect and probably change the valveseals and call it a day.

They need to do a valve job and so they can see if any valves are bent.

Looks reusable to me. Valve seats need to be redone.

What? You don't wish to participate in the mystery that is Larry and his Swingers?

Oscar.... is every other post from you drag manifold this and Endyn that? Seriously...

To the poster... you've got a good chance that the valves are bent also... I'd get the head fluxed for cracks and if that looks good a complete once over should uncover anything else. That IN stamp in itself isn't going to hurt anything... its the possibility of cracks or bent things that will.

While they might do good/great work etc... they also have a fun history of blowing tons of smoke. There are tons of other options that won't promise you vaporware.

Still, get the head checked, a local machine shop can do the majority of diagnostics on it... if you want/need more work you can send it out then.

Heard back from some porters. They say it just needs a valve job... I imagine they'll clean up anything else that they deem needs fixing. Probably upgrade valves in the process as well... possibility of a bent valve(s)
