ticking when idling after motor is warm
hey guys,
i have a 98 gsr with 77,000+ miles on it. when i start the car, motor sounds normal..but after it is warmed up and idleing under 1000 RPM, the engine starts to tick/click whatever...do i need a valve job? sounds like its comin from the top of the motor, around the valve cover...or atleast i think it is...
i've read up about doing valve lash adjustments, is that what it really needs? im just concerned cuz i love my car. i want her purring all new and good again.
any suggestions would be most appreciated
I would start with a valve adjustment. It won't cost you anything to do it yourself, just a bit of time.

.007 I believe. Mine are different cuz of aftermarket cams.
10mm wrench, not socket wrench
and a flat head screw driver you can fit inside the wrench.
There is a how to on c-speed I believe, check it out.
