Crx Auto wont shift into 2nd when first started up! Any ideas?!? Help please....
I have an 88 auto CRX Dx and when I first warm up the car and drive it, I put it in normal D4 and drive it and it revs the **** out of first (meaning till like 5k before it will shift)
and once it finally shifts, it will start working fine after that......any ideas on what the problem could be??? I tried to switch to second, and then back to D4 and all it does is rev up.....?
I have never had an auto car and am wondering if there is some special way to get it to shift w/o reving the **** out of it.......any help is appreciated
Sorry if this is a newb question but i have never owned an automatic....

sounds like a fluid problem, have you changed the fluid recently or checked the level? If your using the wrong stuff it could cause that
it hasnt been changed in a long time............
Its really weird, once it revs high enough for it to shift, it will work fine after that....
