Default Optima Yellowtop?

Does anyone know where to buy an Optima yellowtop D51R for the DC2 integra? Autozone just cancelled my online order, Sears has them backordered everywhere, pep-boys no longer carries them and Advanced Auto lists them as a discontinued item.

Has anyone put a larger optima in the hatch, how hard is this to do? Or is there a better gel-cell battery that I should be looking to purchase?

I got mine from Advance Auto about 3 years ago. Course that doenst help you much.

I do remember seeing a thread on here not too long ago about optima batteries with internal shorts causeing constant dead batteries. Maybe go with a regular OEM battery?

I wouldn't get one unless you have a lot of ICE (in car electronics). I had one and wished that I had a lightweight battery like BRAILLE at the time.

I bought a battery for my Integra a few months ago. I shopped all over and found one with a 100-month warranty at Costco for $37, which was way cheaper than anywhere else, even Sam's Club. It's their house brand (Kirkland), which is made by Johnson Controls, a leading manufacturer of automotive batteries.

Well I broke down and went to costco and bought a battery so that I can drive the car. I've had good luck with their batteries and they definitely are cheaper then anywhere else with the normal costco bring it back anytime warranty. I only have a single 12" polk in the back with a 450 watt amp, so I doubt I really need the optima, I just figured I'd buy one since I had to replace the battery anyway.
