Default Weird overheating issue while in boost

Ok whike crusing around in vaccum the car is fine if I get on it for a few minutes the car begins to overheat at 5psi, when this happens if i turn the car off while driving, then just put it on and release the clutch the temp falls right down. .. any ideas?

Stock GSR in an eg, with a turbonetics kit, intercooled, stock radiator, and stock thermostat, just put the kit on, and the car never heated up EVER while it was all motor. . . using a 12:1 FMU and an AFC with my previous tune on it, think I should initialize the afc??? any ideas at all???????????????

Try bleeding your coolant, to make sure there's no air pocket.
Also, try disconnecting the AFC. Stock ECU, stock injectors and FMU will do fine at low boost without the AFC.

Also, if the temp drops that fast when you cut it off, just try leaving the car on and turning on the heat, it works the same.

did you install a fan in the process? may sound stupid but thats what my problem was. Check and see if the fan is spinning the correct direction, if that does not work, get a koyo radiator spoon cap spoon thermo and fan switch

coudl your radiator cap be in good shape, if it's not holding pressure properly, when the surge from the instant engine acceleration comes it will produce a ton more pressure than stock, and if the cap is bad it will not work right this spuing fluid past the overflow and all over the car, if the inlet is inside the engine bay, then it can such some of those vapers up and cause overheating.

you need to get the front of the car in the air to get all of the pockets out.. park on a hill or jack up the front of the car (or ramps.) crack the bleader, reach across and hold it at 2500-3000 rpm till it shoots a straight stream. tighten it and your good

it has been getting pretty hot in South Florida lately...

what's your coolant mixture?? i had slightly hotter temps when i had more antifreeze than water. after draining the antifreeze and adding water, it ran a lot cooler.

bleed your coolant system.
inspect or replace the radiator cap.
might as well replace the thermostat (it's cheap anyway).
check for coolant leaks (if any).

i would recommend getting a dual core radiator and possibly running the fan constantly.
