For sale is a Function7 Full 5-Cap Block Girdle. This girdle is precision machined out of the strongest, airframe grade 7075 aluminum, and is 18-20% stronger than the "aircraft grade" 6061 aluminum that other manufacturers use.

Our 5-cap block girdle addresses the issue of block and crank flex found on high-output, high-rpm Honda B-Series engines found in the Honda Civic and Acura Integra.

The girdle reinforces the block and crank at the source of the flex, directly at the crankshaft journals and this is reflected in the non-resonant design that drastically reduces vibration harmonics. Installation is simple and no additional machining work is required to install the girdle.


If you look in the pictures, you will notice that I machined extra holes for oil disapation.

i heard these things are used to strengthin the block i need some more info on what it exactly does and where it goes and yes i did search so help me out i am new thanks

 

They are similar to the Z10 units, which were an improvement over the Honda design on the B18C blocks. The Function7 unit goes one step further and ties all 5 main caps together, more like a H22, to make for a super strong bottom end.
