i just got off the phone with the engine shop doing the rebuild on my block and he said the estimate will be $1100. When i asked b4 the estimate he said it would be around 400-500. Here is the mods being done to the B18C1 block
bored out to 82mm for 82mm trype r piston
rod bearings
attaching rod to piston
balanced crankshaft
is this price a little high or is it just me
i bought all the parts. all he has 2 do is installl the parts and balance everything
i called the shop and they broke it down like this
parts 85
ispection of blocks and parts 150
hone and bore 150
labor 250
polish crank 75
press pistons on rods 50
clean and deck block 150
clean rods 50
tax 80
balance crank 75
resize rods 50
and i forgot where the other 100 came from but total 1100 is it still worth it and if not then i live in CT and want another quote by a different engine shop can some1 help me i need my teg back on the road
