nothing is wrong with it....... runs perfect.... in the car as we speak...... looking to get a motor that i can BAR..... since the damn cops getting a ltl sneaky around here........
Mine is a JDM motor, just need to replace a couple of things. No problems so far. BARd since 2003, never a ticket or hassle with it.
You can get a JDM motor BARd just by changing the emmisions stuff to USDM. ie: intake manifold, oil pump, ecu, etc. There's a good write-up here on HT.

It's just to help you out. If you don't wanna go through any of it. Then get a USDM GSR or SI swap for the year or after your car's gen. GL

you can bar a motor as long as it is the same OBD (i.e. OBD 2a or 2b) jdm or usdm, doesnt matter. oh yea i have a 99 b16a2 short block with all CTR parts if your interested in it +cash on my end. either way good luck bro

Here's a write up of a member that bar'd his 96 spec ITR.
He details what you need to get and what to do. It isn't that hard.

From: hittin corners so hard you can taste my rims..
in regards to what the other guy said about OBD generations..
whats different about a 88 JDM B16A, than a 91 JDM B16A. they're both EF generation long blocks.. they both have the same ECU management. cuz physicaly the parts are 4 years newer.. you think BAR cares?
if you have a OBD2B car.. you need OBD2B emmisions. reguardless of the motor.
