Vortech Supercharger on a B18C1/B18C5???
Does anyone or has anyone hooked up a V-5 SQ w/Cooler supercharger from Vortech?
They say it should add a increase in power of 108hp & 64 ft/lbs of torque. I have always been pretty interested in the Vortech super charger, but never did any research on them do to the fact that I had a H-motor in my eG. Now I am running a semi built B18C1 with R-pistons, R-cam's, Sunk 2 springs and retainers, Custom exhaust, custom chipped ecu (race & stock), and running the R-Tran with the 4.78 final drive.
If anyone has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated.

alot of people have it done. i personally have seen it and its an excellent setup. i believe it was HCI magazine? who did a test between the jackson racing SC and the vortech one on a stock b16, and the vortech ate the JRSC alive. Its quite possibly the best supercharger.

Im sure a lot of people have done the setup. I am really jsut looking for someone who either has the setup them selfs or has done one on a car. I really want to know how hard the setup is to install and if it really gets as much of a gain as they say it does.

It feels completely gutless on the bottom end, midrange pull is alright, top end pull is pretty good. It does get shitkicked in every aspect by a turbo though, and don't know why you'd run one.........
I agree 100%. If your gonna do a supercharger, run an Eaton screw type like the JRSC unit. Other than that a Vortech centrifigual is like a really poor turbo(on a Honda that is)
