IMO an intake is an intake, its just a piece of pipe with a filter. Ebay intakes do exactly as the brand name intakes, but make sure you have a good filter and not a knock off one. But i have heard of some intakes from ebay having fitment problems with the hood rattling against the intake.

In all honesty, since you won't get any extra power out of it, I'd say they're all equal wastes of money. I guess it just boils down to how much you want to waste. You're better off saving the money for something that will benefit your car in some way. Maybe put that money towards a rear disc swap from an EP3, or possibly a turbo kit. But, I wouldn't try and put money into the D17, unless it was turbocharged.

I would say go with injen or fujita, I think they are the best. But like every one said your not going to gain power at all really

i would have to agree with you guys all the intake is is a peace of pipe and a filter you could probably make your own if u really wanted one. yeah you would probably be better off saving for something sweet like the swap or a turbo. but if you dont want to get into all that then yeah probably AEM or something like that.

I've had both. Cheap ebay intake and currently an Injen SRI. No difference whatsoever, other then the ebay intake fit like **** and rattled against the hood until I put a piece of adhesive felt in between to stop the rattling. If you get one from ebay, make sure it bends down to go under the fuel lines like any good intake for the D17 should.

What's the Velocity Stack for? You've got Fuel Injection.
