Default car random dies in neutral ... why?

my motor just started randomly dying in neutral after the car is warmed up.. i have a cel for egr (its blocked) but i will check again to see if there is an added code (doubut it)

when the car is fully warmed.. 180 degrees..... if i roll/coast in neutral for 10 secondsd + sometimes it stalls out...

i also noticed that at this time.. my tach needle shot up and down momentarily b4 it stalled.. although the RPMS did not correspond with the tachometer.. (apexi rsm stated constant 700-800 rpms)

I had a similar problem, 3 times in one day. It hasnt happened since.

here is my earlier post:

Today i was driving on the highway for 20 minutes at about 70mph. I was on the exit ramp and shifted to neutral to let it coast. As soon as i did this, the car shut off and i had to turn the ignition to get it started. This has never happened to me before. I usually dont drive on the highway for more than ten minutes nor do i have the AC on. Could it be the combination of using both? or was it something i did wrong shifting? It did it on the way home too, both times when i was shifting into neutral.

Take off your intake and look at your throttle plate, it may be coked with oil. If this is the case just go out and buy some throttle and air intake cleaner, it should not be more then 3 bucks at Vatozone. Then just spray until clean!
