How much does honda cahrge?
A lot. It's a bunch of work to do a timing belt job, and it's going to be expensive. I wouldn't expect a dime less than 500, if that cheap.
Timing belt and water pump Write up --> https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=649277
I learned to do it myself because honda rapes you for labor...
Buy a Helms and honda will hardly ever have to do anything for you...

Not the same because Preludes run off auto tensioners and are more of a pain to change. For a Single cam civic dont be suprised to pay 500 for just the timing belt, if you want the water pump changed add 300 to the tab if you get the part through them.

I changed my tensioner, the spring, waterpump and the belt for under $150(all honda parts from the Majestic Honda dealer website).

I forgot to mention he had the water pump and tensioner done as well...$900. I laughed at him too after he told me what he paid! He just assumed that the parts were expensive.
