Default Is the evaporator necessary?

I took out my a/c and want to know if its ok to take out the evaporator under the dash or do i still need it for the heat to work properly?

no its not. just make sure you plug up the holes it once occupied.

Yeah, just gut out the plastic housing for the evaporator and reinstall it so the heater can still flow to the vents.
