Is Dash Removal A Must?
I am selling my heater core and it is currently in the car. The evaporator and blower are already removed but this:
isn't removed and I need to do so.

Re: Is Dash Removal A Must? (LSEGHATCH)
yeh its totally necessary. It doesnt need to come all the way off, I guess? You *might* be able to pull it far enough away from the firewall to get it to work but its so close.
Check out litterbox's FAQ teg dash swap, I poseted pictures on page 5 or 6 or 7 about where all the bolts are to get it off.
Dont forget you need to remove the passenger SRS bag, and drop the steering column. and like the previous poster said, you need to unbolt the 12mm nut on the engine side of the firewall, near where the water hoses exit the core. (You need to take the water hoses off too, or at least the clamps)
if you got any questions I have pulled about 4 of these out so I can help. Lemme know if you want my number
