What's this?
So i removed all my ac components from the bay , hardlines , compressor etc. and these two boxes from under the dash which i dont know what the hell they are called
but there is still this one right on the middle of the dash , do i need to take out that one too and plug the heater hose outlets on the fire wall?

Re: What's this?
the one in the middle is your heater core for youe heater.
are you just trying to remove your a/c and keep the heater.
or just screw it all and not have heat or a/c
cause if your planning to keep heat you need to put back in your blower motor.
and get the following parts.
79810-SR3-A01 heater duct.
91631-SR3-000 firewall plug without a/c
and couple plug to to plug up the hole your no long use on the firewall for the a/c

Re: What's this?
in your first picture the box on the right is the blower motor, the bow on the left is your AC stuff, in the 2nd picture the bow thats still in the car is the heater core, if you plan to have heat still they need to be in the car, if your really **** about shedding weight you can take the AC box apart and pull the nonsense out of there.

Re: What's this?
if your doing this to shed weight your doing it kinda backwards.. why would you go thru the trouble of ripping appart your dash and having to plug up holes when you can take the carpet out and get rid of the sound **** on the floor (JUST a couple lbs there)
the dash was the last thing i did in my tear down

Re: What's this?
as for the heater core i don't think there was a plug for it. I believe all civic came with heater. I could be wrong.
if you want to run wire through the heater core holes than stop by your local stereo shop they should have wire garment plugs. the same one they use to run power wire through firewall.
I would follow Murk 'EM advice for weight issue, but if it's for something else g/l on your project.

Re: What's this?
Why would it matter if the lights still work if you have no heat or AC? Why not stick something else in the dash in the place of the climate controls, or shave them or something?
